30 DySPs shifted, 9 CIs promoted

In a minor yet important shakeup of middle-level officers in the state police, 30 DySPs have been transferred and posted in other jurisdictions. The reshuffle comes on the heels of a similar exercise in the top echelons of the force recently, after K S Balasubramaniam took over as the DGP.

 Nine CIs have also been promoted to the rank of DySPs. Among the notable postings, K S Suresh Kumar has been assigned as Assistant Commissioner, Fort, Thiruvananthpuram and K Vijayakumar will take over as Assistant Commissioner, Airport Immigration, Nedumbaserry. S Anil Kumar and Prince Abraham will be the ACs in Kozhikode in charge of Traffic Control and North Zone respectively.

 Key officials in the Kannur region and also in the Kottayam belt, the turf of Home Minister Tiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, have also been reshuffled.
