The Nedumangad police on Thursday registered a case against a physical education teacher of a private school who allegedly cut the hair of her students.
The complainant, Ashokan of Gurushree House, Vengode, said that the teacher forcefully cut his son Gurunanma’s hair on Wednesday.
Around 15 other students also faced similar punishment by the teacher, he said in his complaint.
The teacher allegedly committed the act claiming that growing long hair was against the school’s dress code.
Meanwhile, the school management told local Youth Congress activists that the teacher would be sacked.
The YC activists had blocked the school’s buses at Vadikod Junction on Thursday morning.
