THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An ASI was injured in attack when the police were trying to stop clashing RSS and DYFI activists at Kattakkada on Tuesday.
Kattakkada police registered a case against DYFI and ABVP activists.
According to police, the trouble began when ABVP activists asked some students of the Veeranakavu Govt HSS near Kattakkada to tie ‘Rakhi’ as part of Rakshabandhan. But when the students, who were members of the DYFI, opposed it a brawl broke out. When ASI Gopan of the Kattakkada police station was trying to disperse the clashing students he came under attack from some of them.
