

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K C Sanjeev, managing director of city-based Wellbound Worldwide Pvt Ltd, has been selected for the Print Ratna Award instituted by All-India Federation of Master Printers, an association for the printing fraternity in the country. He will receive the award at the 9th edition of the National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP) slated to be held at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi on September 20.
According to Vinod Kumar Rajpal, chairman of the 9th edition of NAEP, Sanjeev was chosen for his “rich experience and futuristic vision” and for the invaluable services rendered to the printers in the country,
“Wellbound has committed to serve the Indian printing industry by pioneering innovative technologies,” Rajpal said.
Sanjeev is among the three to be given the maiden edition of the award and is in the company of front runners in the country’s printing industry-Manugraph India Limited and TechNova Imaging Systems.
Sanjeev co-founded Intimate Machines with N Kumar and introduced Wellbound binding machines to the market which is now used around the world. The machines now occupy a market share of 60 per cent in India.
The machines are manufactured at the company’s production centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Chenganoor, Thodupuzha and Coimbatore and are exported to countries such as the UK, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Sanjeev had earlier received the best entrepreneur award from the President of India twice and had won several international awards.
