Pension and arrears as well as monthly wages of employees in the KSRTC will be paid on April 3, informed Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan here on Wednesday.
After the payments, there will be no arrears due for employees.
The total financial burden of the Corporation for the payments will be Rs 54 crore. The Cabinet on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 25 crore as immediate assistance to the cash- strapped Corporation.
Pension payments were hit in February due to financial crunch, forcing the Corporation to limit payments on a cut-off figure and leave the balance in the arrears’ account.
