The Labour Commissioner has asked private establishments to give paid leave to all employees on April 10 to enable them to cast their votes in the Lok Sabha election.
The paid leave directive has been given as per The Representation of the People Act, 1951. “This will apply to daily wage and casual workers also,” Labour Commissioner P G Thomas said.
