Sai Gramam, Thonnackal in the district, celebrated Sree Rama Navami, Lord Rama’s birthday, the other day. The celebrations were inaugurated by Mokshavrathananda Swamikal, head of the Sree Ramakrishna Ashram, Sasthamangalam.

Visiting various projects at Sai Gramam, the Swami said that it was a typical example of the practical Vedanta philosophy espoused by Swami Vivekananda. Sree Rama Navami is celebrated across India as Lord Rama is believed to have been born on the ‘navami’ day in the month of ‘Chaithra.’
