The Ananda Nilayam Orphanage and Widows Home at Kuriyathi celebrated Vishu on Tuesday with all gaiety and religious fervour. As part of the celebrations, arts and sports competitions were organised for the inmates.
The inmates were given ‘vishukaineettam’ as part of the celebrations.
Government Model Higher Secondary for Girls vice-principal Surya Narayanan Kunjarayar inaugurated the Vishu day celebrations.
Karma socio-cultural organisation (Valiyasala) president K Mahadevan, secretary Kuriyathi B Sasidharan Nair, Gandhi Peace Foundation joint secretary V Sukumaran Nair, Manacaud K Purushotaman and T Santhosh Kumar were present at the function.
