Water supply to various areas in the city will be disrupted till late night on Friday, the KWA has notified. The disruption, owing to maintenance works on the main distribution pipeline in Peroorkada zone, began around 10 pm on Thursday.
Areas affected are Sasthamangalam, Peroorkada, Kowdiar, Jawahar Nagar, Kuravankonam, Pattom, Murinjapalam, Ulloor, Pulayanarkota, Kesavadasapuram, Chalakuzhy, Muttada, Sreekariyam and Manvila.
The high-lying regions supplied by the Peroorkada and Manvila zones may get their water restored only after 48 hours, the KWA executive engineer has said.
