Free Cancer Treatment for Savings Scheme Agents

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government will provide free cancer treatment for National Savings Scheme agents, said Finance Minister K M Mani.

The agents will be given free membership in the cancer care scheme of the Regional Cancer Centre here.

The project involves bearing treatment expenses for up to Rs one lakh to 11,000 members.

The Rs 1000 membership fee for each member will be paid by the State Government.

The National Savings Scheme agents should submit applications in the prescribed format before August 8, the Finance Minister said in a statement here on Sunday.
