Temple Thefts: Gang Arrested by Attingal Police

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Attingal Police on Wednesday morning arrested a four-member gang accused in several temple thefts in south Kerala.

The arrested were accused in around 40 cases registered at police stations in Varkala, Paravoor, Parippally and Kallambalam, Attingal Sub-Inspector K R Biju said. The arrested have been identified as Rajendraprasad, 64, of Santhalayam Puthenveedu House, Varkala; Anshad, 52 of Padippura House, Parayil, Edava; Hassankutty, 40, of Kunjikamezhayam House, Edava and Nishad alias Gundu Nishad of Kunnil Puthenveedu, Nadayara, Varkala.

On August 5, the gang had a narrow escape from a police party.
