THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 40-year-old man was arrested by the police here on Friday on charges of sexually harassing his four-year-old daughter.
According to police, Anwar, a daily wager who was residing with his family at a rented house at Thattupalam near Navaikulam, was arrested following a complaint lodged by his wife Mumtaz.
He used to sexually harass the victim under the influence of alcohol. The incident came to light after Mumtaz witnessed his act on Saturday night. She filed a complaint on Sunday morning, the police said.
He was arrested by the police on Sunday. He was remanded after being produced in the court on Monday morning. The couple have three children.
