Held for Gold Chain Theft

The City Police on Thursday arrested a youth in connection with the theft of a gold chain weighing 12 sovereigns from an elderly woman.

The City Police on Thursday arrested a youth in connection with the theft of a gold chain weighing 12 sovereigns from an elderly woman.  Raihaan alias Vishnu, 26, of Kilimanoor, was arrested on charges of snatching the chain belonging to Bhagavathy 62, at West Fort on March 5.

Earlier, the police had nabbed two others, Mustafa, 33, and a relative of his, Sanoof, 19, in connection with this case. Raihaan had left T’Puram after the theft, but returned on Wednesday. The police are on the look-out for one more person in connection with this case.
