The closing ceremony of the year-long silver jubilee celebrations of the All-Kerala Gulf Returnees’ Organisation (AKGRO) will be held here on Monday.
Mizoram Governor Vakkom Purushothaman will inaugurate the function at Priyadarshini Hall, Kottakkakam. Former minister V Surendran Pillai will present the silver jubilee Janamithram awards. Mayor K Chandrika, former ministers M Vijayakumar, Neelalohithadasan Nadar and N K Premachandran, CPI state secretary Pannian Raveendran, DCC president K Mohankumar, KTDC chairman Vijayan Thomas and BJP leader Karamana Jayan will be present. As part of the celebrations, a silver jubilee proclamation rally will be taken out from Gandhi Park to Priyadarshini Hall.
