The pre-monsoon cleaning drive of the City Corporation will commence on Monday.
Health Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the drive at Connemara market, Palayam at 8.30 am. The drive is part of an action plan envisaged as per the directive of the State Government to prevent monsoon-related diseases and is being implemented by all local bodies.
Mayor K Chandrika will preside over. MLAs V Sivankutty and K Muraleedharan will be the chief guests. Deputy Mayor G Happykumar will welcome the gathering.
