Committee chairperson S Pushpalatha said that three five-member squads have been formed to conduct inspections and find out which of these slaughter houses, hostels and hospitals are functioning unauthorisedly.

The veterinary squad to check slaughter houses will be led by veterinary surgeon Bijulal. The squads to check private hostels and private hospitals would be led by Kazhakootam zonal health inspector K Usha and health inspector Venugopal respectively.
