The State Government has sanctioned Rs 25,000 for each ward in the state for pre-monsoon cleaning drive in the respective wards.

Of this, Rs 10,000 is to be provided from Suchitwa Mission, Rs 10000 from National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and Rs 5000 from the Own Fund of the local self-government institution. To prevent epidemics from spreading during monsoon and making sanitation-health habits extensive, Suchitwa Mission will allocate Rs 10,000 for the 19255 wards in the state.

Local self-government institutions which have utilised funds sanctioned earlier will be allotted the amount based on submitting the certificate of expenditure.

Local-self government institutions have to hand over the allotted money to the ward health and sanitation committees and the money has to be spent based on the micro-plan approved by the administrative committee of the institution.

Complaints regarding the pre-monsoon campaign activities can be marked to the grievance redressal cell open in Suchitwa Mission at 04712327730 or to the email address
