The State Government has decided to appoint Antony Chacko, Director (Operations) of HMT Bangalore, as the new CMD of KSRTC. The decision was taken during the cabinet meet on Wednesday.
The Kanhangad Municipality has been brought under the area covered by the activities of Bekal Resorts Development Corporation. The government decided to amend the 1956 Hindu Succession Act which will bestow the wife and children to inherit the assets of a deceased son, in the event of the expiry of his mother. As many as 36 new posts of pharmacists will be created in Ayurveda dispensaries.
The government decided to stick to previous year’s price for forest produce like bamboo and rattan to be supplied as raw materials to Hindustan Newsprint Ltd, in spite of the provision for yearly price review.
The decision was taken as the government decided to give special consideration to Hindustan Newsprint Ltd, being a central PSU.
