Vacation Programme on Self-improvement Held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A two-week programme as part of vacation activities was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pangode, which was designed with the aim of enhancing the self-awareness and self-development among the students. Apart from the personality development programme, classes were also held on arts, music and sports.

The programme organised by the PTA began on May 7 and concluded on May 20. On the concluding day, Station Commander, Military Station, Pangode, Brigadier Samir Salunke was the chief guest. He interacted with the parents and children. 

The activities mainly focused on the development of the children. Each student was given an opportunity to talk on their learning and journey forward. The improved self-expression and new-found confidence in the children made it a proud moment for each parent.

PTA secretary Colonel Satheesan said that the two weeks were very fruitful as it helped the children develop life skills, which was important to succeed in life.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pangode principal K B K Unnithan said that this was the first time a vacation programme of this kind was being organised on the school campus. ‘’I hope more parents will come forward in the coming sessions and ensure that their children benefit from the extra mileage,” he said.
