Three Held in Anti-piracy Raids

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three persons were arrested in the anti-piracy raids conducted by the Anti-Piracy Cell in association with the Attingal and Paripally police.

The arrested were Thampiraj of Ajitha Bhavan, Vadavottukavu, Thottakad and  Manikandan of Sivalayam, Thottuvaram, Kottapuram, Attingal, who sold pirated discs near Attingal market and Shanu of Fameena Manzil, Ezhupuram, who sold discs at Paripally market.

About 200 discs were seized from Thampiraj and Manikandan and 200 discs from Shanu.

Held for Theft

Mannanthala police arrested a person who allegedly stole a pumpset and wires from a residence at Mukkola. The arrested was Shibu, 36, of Meenakani House, Cheenivila, Maruthoor. The stolen goods belonged to one Rajendraprasad,  Mannanthala police said.

Two Arrested

Two youths were arrested on Saturday in connection with the attack on a home guard attached to the Pettah police station. Those arrested were Rais, 19, of Mulamkunnil House, Mancha Road, Nedumangad and Yadukrishnan, 19, of Nedumangad.
