Valakom Case: Lie Detection Tests Held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CBI on Saturday conducted lie detection tests on some accomplices of Kerala Congress (B) chairman R

Balakrishna Pillai and his son and former minister K B Ganesh Kumar in connection with the Valakom attack case.

The tests were part of the Central agency’s probe into the attack against R Krishna Kumar, a teacher of the private management school run by Pillai at Valakom near Kottarakkara.

Those who were subject to the test include Pillai’s nephew and bus operator Saranya Manoj and Ganesh Kumar’s former additional personal assistant Pradeep.

Krishna Kumar’s colleagues and Ramavilasom Vocational Higher Secondary School Ajith Prasad, G S Job, Anusree and M J Maya Das were among others who were suggested by the agency to undergo the test.

The investigation into the attack on September 27, 2011, was assigned with the CBI after the state police concluded it was an accident.
