Many Train Services Disrupted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Train services were disrupted after a high tension line of KSEB (66KV) snapped near Kazhakoottam near here, damaging the   traction distributing system. Though traffic regulation was imposed between Kollam and here, train services were restored after around five hours.

Though maintenance work was completed on the track and services restored, many of the trains were running behind the schedule.

There was some delay in the departure of trains from here.

The Kozhikode bound Janshatabdi Express scheduled to leave from here at 6 am, Venad express to Shoranur at 5 am and Kollam- Thiruvananthapuram passenger scheduled for 8.30 am from Kollam were cancelled.

The Mangalore- Thiruvananthapuram Express scheduled to reach here at 4.45 am was stopped at Kadakkavoor. Maveli Express to Thiruvananthapuram , Chennai - Thiruvananthapuram Superfast Express and Mangalore- Thiruvananthapuram Malabar Express were stopped in Kollam.
