Management Leadership Award for M Chandradathan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted scientist and former director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) M Chandradathan has been chosen for the Management Leadership Award instituted by the Trivandrum Management Association for 2014.

The Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), an affiliate of the All-India Management Association (AIMA), announced that the award, which carries a gold medal and citation, will be presented at a ceremony to be held on August 10 at Mascot Hotel. 

Chandradathan was nominated for the award by a special jury comprising of architect G Sankar, management academician professor Suresh Subramanian and chartered accountant Suresh Mohan, former president of TMA. “The decision was unanimous, striking a common chord, in recognising the high degree of strategic leadership, people leadership, results leadership and personal leadership as demonstrated by Chandradathan,” Jury chair Suresh Mohan said.

TMA president A S Suresh Babu, who is also the CMD of the Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited said:, “Apart from the capabilities of a technocrat, he is a proven leader and it is an honor for TMA to choose him for the Leadership award for 2014.”

TMA instituted the Management Leadership Award in 1986 and since then every year has selected an outstanding management professional for his leadership competencies, excellence in relationships and social commitments.
