THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Though Indian media is registering rapid growth due to technological advancements, journalists and civil society should ensure that this growth is not at the expense of value-based journalism, senior journalist Siddharth Varadarajan said.
Varadajaran was delivering a lecture on the topic ‘Indian Journalism - Crises and Problems’ during the inauguration of Swadeshabhimani Media Study Centre set up by Vakkom Moulavi Foundation.
At a time when media is being increasingly corporatised, contributions of Vakkom Abdul Khader Moulavi who always stood for independent journalism will always be remembered, Varadarajan said.
