THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Demanding amicable settlement for various problems faced by ISRO employees, the Joint Action Council of ISRO staged a mass dharna outside ISRO units in Thiruvananthapuram, The sit-in was part of demonstrations staged outside various ISRO units in different parts of the country on Tuesday.
The demands included reconstitution of the Joint Consultative Machinery in ISRO-DoS, cadre review, restructuring and enhancement of grade pay of various cadres. R Manoharan, president of ISRO Staff Association, inaugurated the dharna outside the VSSC Thumba. Similar gate meetings were also staged outside the ISRO headquarters and ISRO Satellite Centre in Bangalore, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, the Master Control Facility in Hassan and the Space Applications Centre in Ahmedabad.
