THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Photography Awards, instituted by the Information and Public Relations Department, have been announced.
S Madhavan Nair of Kakavila, Thiruvananthapuram bagged the best photographer award for this year, Rajesh Karela of Cherupuzha, Kannur and Reji Babu of Perrorkada, Thiruvananthapuram bagged the second and third prizes, Culture Minister K C Joseph said here. The theme for this year’s Award was ‘Against Drugs and Alcohol’. Prasun K of Kannur, Raneesh K R from Thrissur, Gijo G of Kollam, Nizam Ammas of Kollam, Shaiju V Karatt of Malappuram, Sajeev Vasadini of Chalakudi, Sibi of Kasargode, Gopan Thaliyal of Thiruvananthapuram, Mohan Kizhakkumputrathu of Thrissur and Mahesh Cheruvathani of Thrissur will get consolation prizes.
