THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Traffic restrictions will be put in place in the city from 9 am on Tuesday in the view of the Secretariat March to be organised by Pattikajathi Kshema Samithi, a Scheduled Caste Welfare Committee.
Heavy vehicles and buses going from MC road and NH to Thampanoor and East Fort will be diverted via Kesavadasapuram, Pattom, Kuravankonam, Kowdiar, Vellayambalam, Xanadu, Panavila-Model School and Aristo Junction.
Vehicles coming from Nedumangad to Thampanoor and East Fort will be diverted from Kowdiar, Vellayambalam, Vazhuthacaud, Xanadu, Panavila and Model School Junction. The vehicles coming from Attingal to Thamapanoor and East Fort through Kazhakuttam, Kovalam bypass will proceed through Chakkai, Enchakkal, Vazhappally, Mithranandapuram, Esat Fort and Thampanoor.
The vehicles coming from Neyyattinkara to East Fort will be diverted to Karamana, Killipalam and Attakulangara.
Vehicles going from Thampanoor to MC road and NH will have to take diversion either at Aristo Junction, Model School Junction, Panavila, Flyover, underpassage, Asan square, PMG-Pattom or Vellayambalam, Kowdiar, Kuravnakonam, Pattom or Aristo Junction, Bakery Junction, Underpassage, Asan square-fly over, PMG and Pattom.
Vehicles coming from East Fort to Peroorkada should proceed through over bridge, Thampanoor, Panavila, Bakery junction, Vazhuthacaud and Vellayambalam and the vehicles coming from East Fort to Pettah will be diverted through Vettimurichakotta, Vazhappally junction, Mithranandapuram, SP Fort hospital, Kaithamukku, Uppidamoodu-old Collecterate and Pettah, Nalumukku.
The vehicles should be parked beside the Kovalam-Enchakkal bypass road without creating any congestion, after dropping the participants of the protest march in the city.
Officials also instructed the driver or the cleaner of the parked vehicles to be present in that area. Otherwise, they should display their contact numbers on the vehicles.
Vehicle parking will be banned on the key stretches including the Airport-Chakka-Palayam- Vellayambalam and Pattom during the march on Tuesday morning.
