THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Former Fine Arts College faculty Kunnuvila M Murali has been appointed as the executive member of Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. Murali retired from the college after 30 years of service. He has contributed the bronze statue of Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai at Thakazhi museum, Alappuzha, statue of Velu Thampi Dalawa at Mannadi Museum and the bust of late Indian President K R Narayanan at Legislative Assembly complex.

The GO also appoints Lalithakala Akademi vice chairman Kattoor Narayana Pillai as the Chairman, in wake of K A Francis resigning from the post. Akademi administrative council member P N Krishnankutty Nair has been appointed as Vice-chairman.
