THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Ganesholsav celebrations, which commenced on August 16 under the aegis of Ganesholsav Trust Committee, will conclude on August 25 in the capital city.
The Ganesh statue collected from 1,008 worshiping centres and 54,000 houses will be taken to the Pazhavangadi Ganapathi Temple on that day.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala will inaugurate the programme. Bishop Samuel Mar Irenios will deliver the keynote address. Former chief secretary Babu Paul, former Indian ambassador T P Sreenivasan, KPCC vice-president M M Hassan and, BJP leader O Rajagopal will be among those who will participate in the event.
