THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the additional traffic expected during Onam, the following traffic regulations will be put in place from August 25 to 31: Vehicular traffic will not be allowed from 6 pm to 9.30 pm on the road from Vellayambalam Junction to Corporation office. Vehicles from Vellayambalam area to Thampanoor/East Fort areas will be redirected through Vazhuthacaud-Xanadu-Panavila. Those from Thampanoor/East Fort areas to Peroorkada will have to cross RR Lamp-Nanthancode-Kowdiar.
Parking will not be allowed on the following roads: RR Lamp-Vellayambalam Road; VJT-Asan Square; GV Raja - RR Lamp; TTC-Nanthancode; Vellayambalam-Althara Road; Corporation Office-Nanthancode Road.
Parking at the following places is permitted:
University Office, University College, Sanskrit College, Jalabhavan compound, Poojappura LBS Compound, Tagore Theatre compound, Saint Joseph’s Higher Secondary School Compound; Olympic Association Hall compound; LMS compound; Golf Club Compound (LNCP); Salvation Army School compound; Jimmy George stadium; Women’s College ground; PTC ground; Government Arts’ College Compound; Music College Compound; SMV School Compound; Government Central High School compound, Attakulangara; Fort High School Compound; Attukal Devi Temple Parking Ground; Putharikandam ground.
One side of Asan Square-General Hospital Road, PMG-Law College Road; Press Club Road; Saphalyam - Jacob’s Junction Road; Museum - Sooryakanthi Road; Museum-Nandavanam road; Vellayambalam-Sasthamangalam road; Keltron-Althara Road can also be used for parking.
