THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A goon was severely hurt after he was attacked in a gang war at Thumba on Monday night. Unni alias Chandanam Unni of Thumba is the injured. The police have also taken four persons into custody on suspicion.
Police said the assailants were led by another gangster Sudheesh. “One-and-a-half years ago, Unni had attacked Sudheesh and chopped off one of his palms. The latest attack is suspected to be in retaliation to this. Sudheesh has been booked as the prime accused in the case based on a statement by Unni. He is still at large”, said CI Sheen Tharayil.
