THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 25-year-old migrant labourer was found dead on the railway track near Nemom railway station on Tuesday morning. The deceased is Jagabandhu Kalkaria, a native of Cuttack, Orissa. The Nemom police have registered a case.
Police said the body was found by the passengers who came to the railway station to board a train. During the initial probe, it was assumed that he might have committed suicide by jumping in front of the train. “We can’t confirm it now. His identity was revealed after we got his identity card from near the body. However, we need to interrogate his co-workers present in the locality based on the identity card. The body has been shifted to the morgue of the Medical College Hospital,” police said.
