Die-hard music buffs will be excited to meet DJ Sherrin Varghese, a musician based in Mumbai who is an actor as well. Says Sherrin, “Music has always been in my life. I identified my taste in music after being part of the school choir and church choir.”
In the past, the DJ has been part of India’s first and only Boy band called- A Band of Boys with five albums, a Bollywood film and 15 years to his credit as a professional singer, musician & entertainer.
His single ‘Adipoli’, from his debut solo album ‘Dravidian Bass’ pioneering Mallu Dubstep, has given him cult status in South India, especially Kerala. His mega hit ‘Baadal’ has put him on the top as an artist with the most soulful yet electric voice on MTV Indies. ‘Lambi Raat’, his 2nd song from the album ‘Bollytronica’ has sealed his position as a high energy, prolific performer combining contemporary bass music with Indian roots in electronica. Over 700 shows old, he’s probably the only singer, who does straight up Bollywood at weddings and sangeets. He also performs live Electronica at concerts and festival. He has done TV commercials for Bharath Petroleum, Fevicol, Life buoy, Knorr Soup, Pantaloon, ICICI Bank limited, Make My Trip.com etc during the period between 2006- 2013.
This DJ from Irinjallakuda, Thrissur adds that he is all excited about the crowd in Kochi who find thrill in getting the maximum out of DJ events in the least time.
