IAF’s publicity vehicle coming

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Air Force’s ‘Induction Publicity Exhibition Vehicle (IPEV)’, which aims at encouraging the youth to join  the Air Force, will be in the city for five days from November 22.
The publicity drive will start from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram and will be inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal G Amar Prasad Babu, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, Headquarters Southern Command.

On November 23, the vehicle will be at ACE Engineering College, Thiruvallom where the programme will be exclusive for the school students. Then on November 24, the vehicle will be displayed at Loyola School, Sreekariyam, on November 25 at Sainik School, Kazhakkootam and on November 26 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force, Akkulam.

The IAF recently developed an exhibition vehicle which is specially-modified to showcase various aspects of IAF. It acts as a medium to bring the IAF to the doorstep of the aspirants across the country.

This publicity drive was launched during IAF’s 83rd anniversary celebrations and was inaugurated by Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff at Air Force Station, New Delhi.

The IPEV showcases career related information, life and training in IAF. It has an Experience Zone in which one can enjoy the thrill of various Air Force activities like Sarang aerobatics, Air Warrior Drill Team, flying etc through Glasstron googles.

The vehicle also has a Simulator Zone where one can experience the joy of flying various aircraft. The aircraft Model Zone displays latest aircraft in its inventory with their features and videos.
