THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac will flag off the mass run and rally organised by the Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association as part of its International Olympic Day celebrations at the Kowdiar Square here at 7.45 am on Friday.
Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran, Mayor V K Prasanth, MLAs V Muraleedharan and V S Sivakumar, Kerala State Sports Council president T P Dasan, former athlete K M Beenamol, KTDC chairman M Vijayakumar, district panchayat president V K Madhu, V Sivankutty and Kerala Olympic Association president M M Abdur Rahman will be among those who will participate in the rally.
Along with them, present and yesteryear sportspersons from the state, military and paramilitary forces, police, scouts, NCC, NSS, students from SAI LNCPE, student police cadets, roller skating and cycling trainees will participate in the rally which will conclude at the Central Stadium at around 8.30 am.
The Olympic Day rally will be welcomed at various points in the city by students from schools and colleges in the city.
