Mayor warns public against fake receipts

Mayor V K Prasanth has warned the public against the fake receipts for waste collection being issued in the name of the Haritha Keralam Mission and the Corporation.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mayor V K Prasanth has warned the public against the fake receipts for waste collection being issued in the name of the Haritha Keralam Mission and the Corporation. The bio-compost kitchen bins are provided free of cost by the civic body. Only the service providers registered with the Corporation are authorised to set up and maintain these bins. “If citizens become suspicious about those who collect waste, they should ask for the testimony provided by the Corporation.

Agencies registered with the Corporation alone are permitted to collect service charge fee of `200,” he said.

The list of the service providers in the various wards approved by the Corporation is the following: Kesavadasapuram, Muttada, Nanthancode, Palayam, Kunnukuzhi, Vanchiyoor, Cheruvaykal, Nalanchira, Ulloor, Akkulam, Medical College, Pattom, Pettah, Chaka, Peroorkada, Kanjirapara, Thampanoor, Poojappura and Vazhuthacaud wards — the agency is Haritha Gramam (9744160903).

Perunthanni, Palkulangara and Sreekanteswaram wards, Sun agents (8547770558, 8075547529); Nedumangad, Kalady and Kuriyathi wards, Biosphere (9495624085, 9539065855); Kazhakoottam, Chanthavila and Kattaikonam wards, Green Village (9895532192); Kowdiar-HLL (9020784930) and Poojappura, PRA (9846141419, 8281880444).
