THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:Agriculture Minister V S Sunil Kumar on Wednesday announced the winners of the video-making competition titled ‘Jackfruit - the state fruit’ organised by the Farm Information Bureau (FIB). The winners were declared by going live on the Facebook page of the FIB video contest.

Media Village was selected on the basis of garnering the most number of likes on Facebook - around 1,000 - in the popular entry category.Wayanad native K Sreekanth bagged the first prize of R15,000 for his video ‘Pla’, while the second prize of R10,000 was bagged by Media Village from Changanassery for ‘Oru Chacka Kadha’. The third prize of R5,000 was clinched by team Asareeri for their video ‘Asareeri’. A consolation prize comprising a sum of R1,000 was awarded to Vypeen Puthoor, Hemand S S, Government HSS Meenangadi, Nariveettil Films and Ajay Panamaram.

In the channel category, the first prize of R25,000 was awarded to Ambatt of Sakthi channel. Media One reporter Shida Jagat won the second prize of R15,000, while the third prize went to Kairali People TV reporter Siju Kannan.
