VIJAYAWADA: Taking strong exception to the derogatory remarks made by YSRC Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who called on the people of Nandyal constituency to shoot Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday, ministers N Chinna Rajappa and K Atchannaidu said that the Election Commission will take note of the statements of the Opposition Leader.Speaking to mediapersons at the Interim Government Complex in Velagapudi on Thursday after the Cabinet meeting, both the ministers said that the government would not file any complaints against the remarks of the Leader of Opposition.
“The Election Commission is watching all developments. Let it discharge its responsibilities. The government means public and the Chief Minister is the leader of all the people of the State and we are sure that the people will come out and file complaints against the YSRC chief,” the minister said.
Alleging that Reddy, who is yet to shift his base to Andhra Pradesh, made it a habit to visit the State to obstruct the development works being taken up by the government, the ministers recalled that he created a scene when the State government organised CII Partnership Summit and other programmes.
Refuting the allegations that Chief Minister’s son and IT Minister Nara Lokesh involved in irregularities with regard to the housing scheme for the people of Nandyal, the minister said that it was during the regime of the YSRC chief’s father and late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy that 50 acres of land belonging to AP Housing Corporation intended for constructing houses to poor families handed over Hinduja group for their selfish motives.
