VIJAYAWADA: APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy yet again wrote an open letter to the Chief Minister to extend conditional support to NDA for presidential election. He wants Chandrababu Naidu to make Special Category Status (SCS) as a precondition to support NDA’s presidential candidate.

In the letter, Raghuveera Reddy said he was aware that the TDP had pledged its support to BJP candidate Ram Nath Kovind, but still he is persuading the party leadership to reconsider its decision. He said UPA candidate Meira Kumar is right choice for the President and requested the TDP to support her candidature.
He wanted the TDP to use the presidential election as a leverage to get the SCS for AP. The victory of Ram Nath Kovind in the presidential election is not possible without the TDP support. Hence, the TDP should take advantage of it to get SCS, he said.
