VIJAYAWADA: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Nara Lokesh said that the sanction of funds for AP under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) is getting delayed as YSRC is obstructing the development of the State by giving wrong information to the Centre. Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, Lokesh released the copies of letters sent by YSRC MPs YS Avinash Reddy and YV Subba Reddy to the Prime Minister and the Niti Aayog Vice-Chairman alleging that the State government was diverting MGNREGA funds.

The government is making proper use of the funds by undertaking several development works like construction of CC roads and Anganwadi centres. “We have also laid CC roads in the constituencies of YSRC leaders as part of development process. I cannot understand why the YSRC leaders are stooping down so much,” said the Panchayat Raj Minister.
