Kesineni Srinivas flags off ‘Arogya Ratham’, to cover 10 lack people in 265 villages

The telemedicine network comprises a hub on Cloud to arm doctors across 20 health centres in Vijayawada.

VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas flagged off ‘Aarogya Ratham’ mobile telemedicine unit, here on Saturday. The mobile unit will provide diagnostic services in the Vijayawada parliamentary constituency and is equipped to screen patients for 84 diseases. It can cover 10 lakh residents in 2.5 lakh households across 265 villages in the constituency to supplement the public primary health care service. The unit was started with the MP funds in collaboration with Tata Trusts.  

Speaking at the inauguration of the mobile unit, the MP said, “The mobile telemedicine unit will be very helpful to those who cannot visit health centres. We are delighted to partner with Tata Trusts in helping us bring one of the most unique healthcare initiatives.” This initiative is part of Tata Trusts’ multi-thematic approach to support holistic development in Andhra Pradesh.

The telemedicine network comprises a hub on Cloud to arm doctors across 20 health centres in Vijayawada parliamentary constituency to provide hassle-free access to quality healthcare. Guided by qualified doctors at the hub, 20 health clinics and mobile medical units together will offer consultation on primary and major medical conditions, lab services and treatment.
