Boy ends life over parents’ quarrel

A 14-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Ajit Singh Nagar police station limits on Tuesday. The incident took place when his parents were not present in the house.

VIJAYAWADA: A 14-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Ajit Singh Nagar police station limits on Tuesday. The incident took place when his parents were not present in the house.

According to Ajit Singh Nagar Sub Inspector Siva Prasad, the victim, Nagipogu Sunny, took the extreme step as he was upset with frequent verbal confrontations occurring between his father Ravi and mother Lakshmi. “Sunny was upset due to frequent quarrels between his father and mother. His parents had a heated argument on Tuesday afternoon, after which he hanged himself taking advantage of their absence,” the SI said.

A case of suspicious death was registered against the incident and the body sent to the government hospital for postmortem.
