Biker abducted, thrashed by five youths in moving car

After an hour, the car was traced in Governorpet police station limits and Arvind was freed from the clutches of the abductors.

A youngster was abducted and thrashed for more than one hour in a moving car on the night of Diwali by five youths before the police rescued him. The youngster’s mistake was that he did not give way for the car that was coming from behind. According to police, the incident unfolded at Hotel Raj Towers on Eluru Road on Wednesday night when two youngsters were going on a bike. Governorpet Circle Inspector Pavan Kumar said the duo Arvind and Surya Teja were in an inebriated condition.

The driver of the car coming from behind honked to get past the bike. Arvind, who was riding the motorcycle, did not give way to the car and even abused the occupants of the car for honking. The car driver managed to pass ahead of the motorcycle and stopped the duo near Hotel Raj Towers and both the groups entered into an argument and exchanged blows in a fit of rage. The youngsters travelling in the car pulled Arvind into the vehicle and sped away. His friend Surya Teja immediately alerted the police about the abduction of Arvind

The police said Arvind was thrashed in the moving car, which travelled various parts of the city.
The five abductors, led by a 26-year-old youngster identified as M Tarun, were arrested and a case under IPC Section 363 (kidnapping) was registered against them. The accused were sent to judicial remand, the CI added.A case of drunk and drive was registered against Arvind.
