Kanaka Durga temple momento scam: Cops to issue notices to 2 temple staff

 One Town police is all set to issue notices to more employees of Goddess Kanaka Durga temple in connection with the memento scam unearthed last Sunday.

VIJAYAWADA: One Town police is all set to issue notices to more employees of Goddess Kanaka Durga temple in connection with the memento scam unearthed last Sunday.  

The police interrogated Anusha Handicraft owner Ramesh, who supplied the mementos to the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam for the past two days. 

They said they were contemplating to issue notices to contract employee Sk Syeda and temple record assistant Sunitha to speed up the inquiry. 

As per sources, in his statement to the police, Ramesh mentioned about the price and quotation submitted by the devasthanam officials in procuring the mementos. 

Meanwhile, Assistant Executive Officer (AEO) S Achyuth Ramaiah, who was suspended on the charges of his role in the memento scam has approached the High Court on Friday.
