National Conclave on outcome-based education begins in Vijayawada

Through this, the students will have a clear picture of what they are studying and what they want to achieve at the end of the day.

VIJAYAWADA: The three-day National Conclave-cum-war room on the outcome-based education began at Andhra Loyola College here on Thursday.  During the conclave, AP State Council of Higher Education V-C Prof Narasimha Rao shared the Vision 2029 for AP Higher Education. He said that outcome-based education was the right tool to make new strides in higher education.

He said that outcome-based education is a new age educational theory that bases each part of an educational system around certain goals. “In many countries, it is being followed as a component in curriculum and in our country too it is in a budding stage,” he added.

Through this, the students will have a clear picture of what they are studying and what they want to achieve at the end of the day.

M Balasubramaniam, NASSCOM GIC chairperson, said the present employers were shifting from hire and train to train and hire. They need employees to be job-ready and if OBE is implemented, the objective is realised.
