VIJAYAWADA: The State is experiencing cooler nights as cold winds from northern parts are blowing. However, the day temperatures haven’t dipped much. During nights, the coastal districts are experiencing a dip in temperature.

The lowest temperature, of 16 degrees Celsius, was recorded at Jangamaheswarapuram and Visakhapatnam on Monday. Districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, especially Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Krishna, Srikakulam, and East Godavari, are registering the minimum temperatures. Speaking to TNIE, K Nagaratna, Weather forecasting officer at IMD, said, “Winter has set in and the minimum temperatures in State will now reduce gradually.

Cool winds and breeze will persist through the day and intensify during the nights. Light rainfall is likely to occur in isolated places of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.”
