Half-centuries by Atharva Kale (70) and Urvil Patel (78) enabled West Zone to post 240 for 8 against South Zone on the first day of their fifth round match of the BCCI inter-zonal U-19 two-day cricket tournament at VB Nest grounds here on Tuesday. U Mukilesh and Aman Khan picked up three wickets each for South Zone. Sudden showers in the evening resulted in the teams not being able to finish their quota of 90 overs for the day.

First state marathon Tamil Nadu Athletic Association, in association with SportzPro, will host India’s first state marathon in Chennai on June 25.
