I am in my final-year of MPEd. I can’t seem to take correct decisions. But I have to with work with others. Sometimes, I have an inferiority complex. I feel I don’t have much knowledge. How do I improve my confidence level?

If you work well when combined with others, then you are a cooperative worker and that is your strength. When you own your strengths, you will say bye to the inferiority complex which will automatically increase your confidence levels. When you take decisions, you need to consider these factors: a) Self  b) other and c) the situation. When you strike a balance between taking care of yourself and giving a decent consideration for others and situations most probably it will be a win-win decision. Even if your decision turns out to be wrong at a later stage, you can always correct it and that’s a way to learn decision-making.

I am a third-year engineering student. The work load has increased a lot recently. Apart from completing assignments and preparing for exams, I got involved in a lot of projects out of my own interest. I am learning two additional subjects online. I also read technical books. However, my hairfall has increased. My friends are warning me that I will turn bald within a year if it continues. But I am actually happy to do these things and don’t feel stressed at all. Are my friends correct? Can you tell me what the cause could be and if so, how I can solve it?

You are getting more scared, thanks to your friends’ warning that you will become bald. Remember, no one can predict life at such macro levels and it should be confusing for you when they connect your ability to multitask to your hair fall.

The psychological reason Louise L Hay states in her book, You can heal your life, for hairfall and baldness is ‘fear, tension, trying to control everything and not trusting the process of life’. See if any of these stated reasons are true for you.

Repeat this sentence to yourself everyday — “I am safe, I love and approve of myself and trust life”.Find ways to give life to these positive affirming thoughts. This will be a healing process. You could also approach a specialist for medical support. Even after all these efforts if your hair falls, remember this quote “If you can’t fight baldness then celebrate it.”
