The Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the UK’s Loughborough University is inviting applications for its MSc in Sustainable Engineering. Graduates with at least a first class in any engineering discipline, or Higher National Diploma with appropriate industrial experience can apply. Applicants with a score lower than 60 per cent will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Fee is £17,950 (approx `17.5 lakh). University of Birmingham, UK, has announced postgraduate admissions for 2015-16. Using the course finder at www.birmingham.ac.uk/students/courses/index.aspx?SearchAcademicLevel=Postgraduate, you can view the list of available courses. Application checklist includes completed application form, two academic references or one academic and one employer reference, certified copy of academic transcripts, English language proficiency test score and a personal statement not exceeding 5,000 characters. All supporting documents need to be uploaded online by January 15, 2015.

Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship 2015

The University of Amsterdam has announced the Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship 2015 — €25,000 (approx `25 lakh), which covers the tuition fee and living expenses for one year. Prospective postgraduates intending to study at the following faculties can make use of the award — Faculty of Economics and Business, Graduate School of Humanities, Graduate School of Psychology, Faculty of Science, Graduate School of Child Development and Education, Graduate School of Communication, Amsterdam Law School and Graduate School of Social Sciences.
