Swarnabhoomi Academic Institutions (SAI) will bring in the renowned advertisement guru Prahlad Kakar to host ‘the 30 second story’ workshop in Chennai. This three-day intensive workshop will start on October 17. As part of the workshop, the students will experience, understand and practise the art of ad-filmmaking. The workshop will comprise two master classes on storytelling, conceptualisation, shooting and editing. Inclusive of the charges of equipment for the shooting and editing, fee for the cast and travel for the shoot, accommodation for the three days, the workshop is priced at ` 25,000. As part of the workshop, the students will have to shoot a 30-second ad film and present it to a jury of media critics. A full time residential programme, ‘The 30 second story’ will mark the inception of the SEED series workshops organised by SAI. The series will focus on organising workshops in the fields of photography, editing, script writing, music editing and cinematography.
